How did you meet each other?
We met and were friends in high school back in 1991-1992. After graduation, we went our separate ways until 2000, when we both happened to move back to Houston at the same time. We got together one evening to catch up and talk and ended up married about two years later.

Tell us about your wedding cake!
We had two – hers was a three-tier butter cream and amaretto cake (that was the main cake). Mine was a raspberry cheesecake.
Did your wedding have a theme? A color scheme? Was it on a holiday? Tell us about it!
No theme, really. We did get married on a good date – 02/02/02 – one that’s hard to forget!
What did you spend the most amount of money on?
The venue. Most everything else was pretty inexpensive.
What do you wish you did NOT spend so much money on?
Nothing, really. We didn’t go into debt over it, and everything was reasonably affordable. No complaints!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Rhode Island and New Hampshire
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
There was a small drainage ditch around the facility that we had the wedding at, and we finished up after dark. My Best Wo-Man, Allison, wasn’t familiar with the place, and ended up driving her car into the ditch. The whole wedding party and many of the guests ended up outside trying to figure out a way to get the car out of the ditch. We had ropes and chains, but in the end, we had to call a tow truck.
What advice would you give to future brides and grooms?
ust roll with it. You’re not the first people to ever get married, and there’s nothing that you can screw up so badly that it affects the rest of your life. As long as you’re both on the same page about being relaxed and rolling with the day, you’ll be fine.
